Why Mad Believer Ramblings?

C’mon guys, who as a Christian hasn’t been told we’re a little nuts? One sad realization is that fellow Christians can perpetuate that and, while well meaning, they can distance themselves from what the Gospel is versus what their beliefs are. One pastor told a young gentleman that his playing the drums in a marching band was sinful because those beats come from a sect out of Africa and has ties to demonic chanting. Or another has accused someone’s loss of a relative to be a reconciliation of a sin against them. Well meaning is putting it nicely. I’m sure anyone who reads this will draw to their mind an instant that completely turned them off to their faith. They’d have to be mad to go back! Well..

Look, it’s not madness, but today people will emphatically disagree with what is a reasonable faith. If you start looking around and asking yourself ,”Is what is happening around me a reasonable reflection on the goodness of humanity or does it look like something has been taken out, shelved and put away causing everything to be disordered while the status quo keeps getting worse and worse?” The more reasonable in your faith you become, the more mad everyone believes you to be.

This website, everything associated with it, is basically my letters to Christ as I reach out with my finite knowledge to my infinite loving Father. Why share them? I don’t know other than I feel compelled. Maybe you’re struggling in similar ways as I do to understand why the world functions in the way that it does or you have questions that my letters can help with. In any case, I’m writing to the audience of the great I AM, but if you do take the time to read, I pray for what I pray for myself, that you would grow deeper in your convictions, draw closer to our Savior, and take hold of this reasonable, compassionate, righteous faith that we can completely trust in.
